Hello, sun: Vancouver forecast calling for 6 days of bright sunshine this week

The Metro Vancouver weather forecast calls for a long stretch of sunshine this week in addition to some toasty temperatures.

The Metro Vancouver weather forecast calls for a long stretch of sunshine this week in addition to some toasty temperatures.

Starting on Monday, Aug. 26, Environment Canada calls for sunshine with a high of 21°C and a high of 26°C inland. However, the temperature will feel more like 31°C inland with humidity. It is also expected to be windy near the water in the evening.

Following this, Tuesday is also expected to be hot and sunny, with a high of 23°C and 28°C inland, but will feel like 27°C and 31°C with humidity. Wednesday is expected to be even hotter, with a high of 24°C and 29°C inland. Thursday's forecast calls for a high of 24°C and 28°C.

Friday is expected to be sunny and clear with temperatures reaching a high of 23°C and 27°C inland. Saturday is expected to see a mix of sun and cloud, while Sunday is expected to be cloudy.

Back in April, Environment Canada told Vancouver Is Awesome that the Lower Mainland would likely see above average temperatures in late spring and into summer. Further, it noted that the summer season would likely be warmer overall. These above-average temperatures are expected to continue into the autumn season.
