Knitting enthusiasts can join the local fibre community through Vancouver's first knitting events company, the recently launched Knit Social Event Co., at an upcoming Yarn Swap from 10: 30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Aug. 13.

Residents and visitors to the Olympic Village at Southeast False Creek will soon be able to connect to the area by passenger ferry.

Water regulations
