Summer music nights

A volunteer group of neighbours has organized summer music nights in Grays Park on 33rd Avenue near Fraser Street.

Grandview walking tour

Heritage Vancouver presents My Grandview: A Walking Tour with Michael Kluckner from 10 a.m. to noon, Aug. 27, rain or shine. The tour will begin and end at the corner of Pender Street and Victoria Drive. There is ample parking in the area.

Fighting fire-door to door

Members of the Vancouver fire department will be going door to door throughout the city to dispense advice on how to make your home fire safe and to deter malicious fire setting.

White Spot à la food cart

The city's ever-expanding food-truck scene increased this week by one with the addition of Triple O's On The Go, a fast-food division of White Spot and the first mobile kitchen in Canada belonging to a restaurant chain.

Marpole Place garage sale

A multi-family garage sale that will feature new or near-new vintage 1960s and '70s women's clothing (sizes 6 to 14), plus shoes, happens Aug. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Marpole Place. The sale at 1305 West 70th Ave.
