Vision Vancouver's council candidate cites vote splitting, affordable housing angst, racism for fifth-place finish

If tonight's byelection result was any indication (and it was), Vision Vancouver is going to be pushing a rock uphill in the election that really matters next November.

Polls are open at more than 50 voting places between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14. Voters can cast ballots at any of the locations.

Nine candidates are vying this Saturday to be Vancouver’s next city councillor. The seat became vacant this summer when Geoff Meggs resigned to become Premier John Horgan’s chief of staff.
